How it works

A trainer’s session. Without waiting for the trainer.

Palavado connects what a trainer knows with what a ball machine and cameras can do. Here’s how one session comes together.

From coach to court

Every session follows the trainer’s logic.

  1. Trainer inputThe trainer defines drill, shot, target, position, technique goals and reps.
  2. DrillPalavado turns that into a structured, repeatable training.
  3. Ball machineFeeds every ball as programmed — pace, spin, placement, rhythm.
  4. CamerasFollow the ball and the player through every rep.
  5. AI analysisCompares what happened with what the trainer defined as good.
  6. FeedbackShort cues during play. A clear report afterwards.

Trainer knowledge, built into the session

The coach decides what good looks like.

Every Palavado training starts with a trainer. They define the drill, the shot, where the ball should land, where you should stand, what your technique should look like — and how many reps it takes. Palavado uses that as the standard.

AI measures. The coach decides. Technology never sets the standard. It only shows how close you are to the one your trainer set.

How it works

Your session, step by step.

  1. Choose your trainingPick a drill or a full programme, designed by a trainer. Volley, bandeja, defence, positioning.
  2. Step on courtScan in at the court. Palavado knows who you are and where you left off.
  3. The ball machine runs the drillSame feed, same pace, same spot — exactly as the trainer programmed it.
  4. Cameras follow ball and movementWhere the ball lands, where you stand, how consistent you are.
  5. Live cues and a session reportOne short cue when it matters. A clear summary when you’re done.

During the session

One cue at a time.

Like a good trainer, Palavado doesn’t talk after every ball. It picks the one thing that matters most right now — and says it in a few words.

  • “Contact slightly earlier.”
  • “Stay compact.”
  • “Aim deeper — last two metres.”
  • “Recover to the centre.”

After the session

A report you can read in a minute.

What you trained, how many balls landed where they should, how consistent you were — and the one thing to focus on next time. No dashboards full of charts.

What Palavado can measure

What Palavado can measure.

We’re careful here. A metric only reaches players once it’s been validated against how coaches judge the same shot.

  • Ball trajectory

Height, depth and direction of every ball you play.

    Core
  • Target placement

How many balls land in the zone your trainer set.

    Core
  • Shot execution

Whether the shot matches what the drill asks for.

    Core
  • Player positioning

Where you stand and how you recover between balls.

    Core
  • Consistency

How your results hold up from the first rep to the last.

  • Contact timing

Whether you meet the ball early enough, in front of the body.
